The Government Economics Network is pleased to invite you to this invite-only roundtable with Carsten Schousboe. The roundtable will cover the New Zealand Pharmaceutical Management Agency’s (PHARMAC) approach to analysing new proposals including critical appraisal of evidence, cost utility modelling and PHARMAC’s investment prioritisation framework.
PHARMAC is tasked with achieving the best health outcomes within available funding. Carsten Schousboe is a Senior Health Economist who has undertaken cost benefit analysis on a large number of PHARMAC’s new investment decisions. Carsten will outline how this analysis is undertaken in PHARMAC’s health economics team and how economic analysis fits into PHARMAC’s decision making framework.
