This year is the 60th Annual Conference of the New Zealand Association of Economists. It will be held at Rutherford House on Pipitea Campus at Victoria University, Wellington.
The conference committee comprises Ian Duncan, Lydia Cheung (Auckland University of Technology), Peter Tait (Lincoln University), and Andrea Menclova (University of Canterbury).
There will be a Productivity Commission session that will include the following papers:
- New Zealand labour market trends - Tim Maddock and Terry Genet
- Labour productivity, the fiscal outlook, and living standards - Patrick Nolan
- New Zealand tradeable industry clusters and business dynamics - Guanyu Zheng
Reece Pomeroy will also be presenting at the PhD workshop on his research on competition and firm mark-ups.
