The last week of March is a short week, where businesses across New Zealand will be trying to get more done in less time. Easier said than done. World-leading experts from the soon-to-launch New Zealand Business Performance Panel agree that using the best management practices is a great way businesses can work smarter, not harder. They’ve been working with the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment to help create easy-to-use, free resources to help Kiwi businesses get more done in less time.

Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment is running March Productivity Week, a series of events happening in person and online from 26 – 29 March. Here’s what’s on:

New Zealand Business Performance Panel Official Launch

What: The official launch of the New Zealand Business Performance Panel, a team of global experts on business performance topics such as management and leadership, finance, strategy and operations.

Why: business.govt.nz is working with the New Zealand Business Performance Panel to support Kiwi businesses with practices, processes, and planning to improve and grow.

When: Monday, 26 March 2018 from 4:45 pm to 6:00 pm

Te Punaha Seminar: An Intelligent Career

What: Leading academic in management and performance and New Zealand Business Performance Panelist Dr. Julia Richardson will be giving a talk on intelligent careers. This talk will be relevant for both employees with aspirations to grow their career and managers looking to build the careers of their employees.

Why: Research has shown that focusing on people leads to better business outcomes.
