The Productivity Commission has been asked to undertake an inquiry into New Zealand’s working-age immigration policies. The disruption caused by Covid-19 created a rare break in migration flows in and out of New Zealand, and therefore presents an opportune time to focus on immigration settings for New Zealand’s long-term prosperity and wellbeing.
