Lead an inquiry at the Commission

The Commission is seeking an Inquiry Director to lead a team to devise innovative solutions to challenges confronting Aotearoa New Zealand.

The Director will have oversight of an inquiry assigned by the Government, including scoping and planning, designing sub-projects, engagement with external stakeholders, establishing and managing the project team, delivering on milestones, presenting findings and updates to the Commissioners, and overseeing draft and final outputs.

To be considered for this position, you must have experience operating at a senior management level and have well-developed people management skills. You will have a strong understanding of economics and policy analysis, as well as familiarity with te ao Māori perspectives and frameworks. You will be service-focused and display high-level communication ability. Being able to relate to and manage key relationships with the Commissioners, as well as with external stakeholders including community groups, will be important.
