Thanks for your feedback

A fair chance for all
30 August 2021

Over the last six weeks, input from across Aotearoa has helped the Commission focus a new inquiry into reducing persistent disadvantage.

Thank you for your feedback

We would like to thank over 1,000 people who completed our online form, made a submission, met or talked with us - particularly those with lived experience of persistent disadvantage who shared their experiences and perspectives with us.

We will compile a summary of the feedback received and the key themes that emerged and this will be shared in due course on this website. In the meantime, you can view submissions here.

What's next?

All feedback is currently being reviewed and considered as we develop a Terms of Reference which defines the scope and focus of this new inquiry.

The Terms of Reference will be presented to Cabinet in November 2021. Subject to Cabinet approval, the Commission will then have 12 months to conduct the inquiry and present its findings and recommendations to Government.

The feedback received will continue to be used as the inquiry begins and we will open up further opportunities for people to participate.
